Recreation Coordinator

The City of Norwalk will accept applications for the full-time position of Park and Recreation Coordinator at the Ernsthausen Community Center.


Qualifications for the position are completion of secondary education or equivalent and must possess a State of Ohio motor vehicle operator's license, plus must remain insurable under the City's vehicle insurance policy.

Under the general direction of Recreation Director and Superintendent of Parks & Recreation, the Recreation Coordinator will fill many roles, including but not limited to:

  • Planning and assisting in organizing and implementing adult and youth sports programs, leagues and special events

  • Supervises the activities of assigned part-time and seasonal employees

  • Assists with pool operations, (will become a Certified Pool Operator, within 3 months of hire)

  • Oversees and supervises day and evening recreation activities and special events

  • Prepares schedules and promotional materials

  • Assists with Purchasing and replacement of equipment

  • Assists with the maintenance of parks and recreation equipment and facilities

Wage range: $15.86-$22.65
